Sadness in Turkey

Sadness in Turkey is really gut wrenching for Dan and I, as we were just there 6 months ago. We happened to be in two of the cities that the demonstrations are happening in today.  I am so thankful that we were able to see the beautiful city before it was overtaken by anger, and riots on how the government is handling things! As I sit here and remember Turkey and all that it was, I also lift up prayers for Turkey as they find some answers and hopefully some peace before it gets too bad!

Here are just a couple articles about the situation, as there are not many out there because media outlets have been shut down completely!

Slate | Independent | NBC | Reuters | Blog from an Insider | Twitter feed with photos

If each of you reading this can please take 1 minute to pray for a place that Dan and I loved when we were there, and hope it returns to the place we saw as tourist!

Here are our memories: Istanbul, Turkey and Izmir/Ephesus, Turkey
