Christmas decorations are my absolute favorite and to be honest I could sit on my couch and enjoy them year round! I love staring into the twinkling lights and remembering where all my ornaments are from. I blame my mom for this! I wish I had more room for more decorations, every year little by little our decor grows. I love having it all out, reminiscing as we put up the ornaments on the tree, and sitting by the tree with cocoa nightly though the Christmas season remembering the real reason for the season. I am a little delayed on posting our Christmas decorations this year, and as the season rolls to the New year, and our real live tree starts to dry up and not take water anymore, I thought I better get this up sooner than later. It is just a smattering of my favorite ornaments, nativity collections and my attempt at a Christmas-y table.
The Nativity above was a wedding gift to Dan and I and I could not be more thankful for it!
The nativity below was a purchase from Ten Thousand Villages in Montreat, NC.
My grandma gave me the gorgeous nativity above, I love how it glows in the light.
The one below is also from Ten Thousand Villages in Montreat, NC.
When you live in a Cape Cod you make due with space our tv hutch turns in to the mantle around Christmas time.
Our tree goes in the only space it will fit in our house at the foot of the sofa next to the front door!
Some of my favorite ornaments, Kentucky round and stagg above are from my mom on St. Nicks day this year! From a local Kentucky shop back home.
Above a sweet sock dog and below two corks from our wedding and when we got engaged (handmade by my mom).
Above my most favorite UK ornament from my aunt.
Below my first car key and a bourbon barrel (this Kentucky girl can’t go without one on her tree).
and finally our table, some homemade stuff by me.
The spinning nativity is from Germany gifted to me by an amazing volunteer when I worked in Charleston, SC.
the dishes are all from target on clearance 5 years ago.
Hope ya’ll enjoyed a sneak peek at our Christmas decor. Did you do anything fun to your house this year?
