Catonsville MD wedding on a gorgeous Memorial Day weekend in May was exactly what Catie and Austin asked for! They probably did not ask for the cool weather, and somewhat crazy wind, but we made it work! I should start by saying this post is LONG, I had way to many favorites! Also thanks to Katie DeLorme of Snapshots by Katie for shooting with me that weekend, I love working with Katie and we compliment each other in our shooting and it works!
Back to Catie and Austin! They met they fell in love, and then got engaged actually the same day as one of my fall brides! I heard this story as I was reminiscing with one of last years brides. It is so fun to run into former and future brides and grooms at a wedding! Apparently at Lauren and Brett’s wedding Austin was talking with Brad (groom from the upcoming fall wedding) about engagement rings, and proposed that fall after the July wedding they were at! I just love all the connections! When Catie contacted me about her wedding I just knew we were a perfect fit! Their wedding was in a gorgeous Catholic church in Catonsville, MD and the reception was going to be outside on Austin’s family property in Parkton, MD (insert happy dance here)! I love love love photographing outside :)
When Katie and I arrived at the house in Catonsville where Catie was getting ready there were so many amazing details strewn about (insert another happy dance here)! I love photographing details in many different ways, and when you have a second photographer shooting with you, you get twice the goodness of everything :)!!! Catie and Austin had so many DIY details throughout their whole day, it just made me gitty inside! She brought in her love for the south through gingham shirts for the guys, and seersucker table cloths at the reception! Adding to that with adorable embroidered hankies for the girls, and clutches with bow-ties on them! Austin’s love for lacrosse came through in the boutonnieres with all of them wrapped in LAX threading! The entire bridal party were sporting croakies with “Catie and Austin 05-25-13”! All of the southern touches worked, and Catie and Austin did such an amazing job making it all come together on their wedding day! You could tell they worked hard, and I would say it paid off, as the guest danced the afternoon/evening away! Lastly, as the night went on and the sun set over the property, we asked Catie and Austin if we could take them out for some last minute portraits in gorgeous light, they jumped at the opportunity! Thank you for believing in your photography!
Catie and Austin I hope you love your photos as much as I do, and I hope you had an amazing trip to Mexico!!!
Love this angle that Katie grabbed of the flower girl looking at her sweet bracelet from Catie!
It was so fun watching all the girls get ready in a small house! There was so much laughter, enjoyment, smiles, and memories in the air!
Catie you are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!
Love these next two, perfect example of having a second photographer! Top one is Katie’s angle, Bottom was my angle!
How about those flowers! Oh and I should say Catie’s dress was decorated by her mom! Catie bought a basic dress, and her mom added the top material and the bottom flower lace material! How GORGEOUS!!!
Two great angles again! Top one Katie’s and bottom one mine! And Ladies you ROCKED your photos, it was so cold they were dreaming of Hawaii and warm beaches :)
We did the Guys photographs after the ceremony! Thank you for looking your best all day!
The reception details were to die for! Catie and Austin you did such a great job!!
love these two angles of the bridal party! While I was standing up for the photo below, Katie was laying on the ground working the top image!
Same with these two! I was taking the bottom one, while Katie was hiding behind grabbing the sweet photo of Catie and Austin kissing!
Austin you were such a trooper! I just had to put this in there!
Don’t remember the song, but the groomsmen cracked me up, when they all got on the floor and did this dance to the entire song!
More gorgeous light portrait time!
